Detroit to Pune

For this part of my trip, I had my dad for company.  The first flight, from Detroit to Amsterdam, was extremely comfortable.  Well, as comfortable as long flights in coach can be.  There were very few people on the flight.  There were so few passengers that many people claimed entire rows for themselves (these people then stretched out and slept for the entire flight).  This flight was one of the best I've ever had... completely peaceful, with no crying children, or loud conversations that nearby passengers are forced to listen to.

Four hour layover was pretty uneventful... we spent our time looking at the shops and trying to get comfortable on colorful but odd-shaped couches.  We did see this foot spa, where you stick your feet into an aquarium where some fish nibble off dead skin?  Apparently the results are amazing, but it just sounded, and looked, really weird.

Aaand the final flight, the most dreaded flight.  Why?  Because flights to India are almost always filled with loud people, and of course, some crying babies.  Definitely no room to stretch out this time. Luckily, the only baby I heard was the one infront of me who was absolutely adorable and just talked when awake (much better than crying, in my opinion).

Landing in Mumbai was frustrating... we ended up circling around for quite some time, as there was no place for us to actually land.  When we finally got off the plane, we went through customs pretty quickly, and headed to baggage claim, where we then had to wait for over an hour before our bags were released.
By the time we met my cousin outside the airport, drove to Pune (a 2.5 hour drive), and went to sleep, it was 5 AM.
